I’m very delighted to share this new wonderful series of children books we’ve recently discovered yet again at Thrift Books. I’ve been very happy with this website as not only it is a great source of used books (saved trees), but I’ve found books there that I didn’t see anywhere else. And the books there also usually only cost $3-$5 each.
Why we love them:
- I try to choose books that inspire in my children respect and love for nature and these books nicely fits this requirement.
- The stories are simple, amusing and short, so great for little children.
- The illustrations are just lovely.
- The book are written by Nick Butterworth in 1946. Nick Butterworth was born in London and grew up in a sweet shop in Essex. So the literary value is very good, which is great for child’s vocabulary. And of course, being British, the books give great example of proper manners. Everyone says “Hello” and “Would you mind…” 🙂
Percy activity books
In addition to the stories I’ve also discovered a number of Percy companion books, such as games and activities books, coloring books, numbers books and so on.
